Την 1η θέση κατέλαβε το μέλι Δάσους Βελανιδιάς που παράγεται στην Ελλάδα στο χωριό Βράσταμα της ορεινής Χαλκιδικής από την Μελισσοκομία Melisses οι Μάγισσες σε διαγωνισμό με βιολογικά μέλια προερχόμενα από Ελλάδα, Ισπανία, Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο, Κροατία, Τουρκία και Πορτογαλία μετά από 2 Χρυσά και 4 Ασημένια μετάλλια που κατέκτησαν οιMelisses οι Μάγισσες σε προηγούμενες συνεδρίες της boilmiel. Ο διαγωνισμός έγινε στις 25-27 Νοεμβρίου 2016 στην Μπολόνια της Ιταλίας Είναι ο 10ος Διεθνής Διαγωνισμός BIOLMIEL για την αξιολόγηση, ανάδειξη και βράβευση του καλύτερου βιολογικού μελιού . Στο διαγωνισμό συμμετείχαν φέτος 165 μέλια βιολογικής πιστοποίησης από 6 συν της Ιταλίας 7 διαφορετικές χώρες.
BIOLMIEL 2016 Winners
With the declaration of first classified among extra-virgin olive oils and honeys participating in BIOLNOVELLO and in BIOLMIEL 2016 competitions, both events were closed on the 27th of November after a three days full program.
These are the first classified among extra-virgin olive oils:
First place was awarded to the firm Quattrociocchi from Latium, with its oil “Olivastro”, an Itrana monocultivar.
Second place went to the Sicilian Agrestis with “Bell’Omio”, obtained mostly with the Tonda Iblea cultivar.
Third place went to the Spanish Rincon de la Subbetica – DOP “Priego de Cordóba”, a Hojiblanca monocultivar.
In BIOLMIEL competition, for monofloral honeys and first classified in absolute values, the Metcalfa honeydew honey by Alberto Pesavento, from Pordenone, with the amazing score of 100/100. For foreign honeys, best one was the oak honeydew honey by the Greek Melisses oi Magisses.
For polyfloral honeys: first place went to the Sicilian Az. Agricola Ventimiglia. First among foreign honeys, and second in absolute values for this category, the Spanish La Abeja del Guanche.
The sensorial evaluation during both BIOLNOVELLO and BIOLMIEL was not only for the juries but also for students and for the general public: an olive oil and a honey Bar were open to the public throughout the events, and short tasting coursers were given for free to both children and adults at the Manifattura delle Artiin Bologna, were the events were sided by a farmers market (“Mercato della Terra”) on Saturday 26.
